Year: 1928 Serial Number: 38
Engines: Wright R760 Owner: Island Air Service

Notes: 06-31-03 - In the late 1950's or early 60's our family had bought some Wright R760-8's Navy surplus, and sold them to Island Air Service for use on the Tri-Motor. The Navy had used the engines on their N3N floatplanes and sold them when that program closed. Island Air Service used the Tri-Motor on a scheduled basis to fly to the islands in Lake Erie. There where school children who commuted daily on the Ford!
