Model: Universal Stinson Voyager 108-2 Registration: N257C
Year: 1947 Serial Number: 108-3257
Engine(s): Franklin 6A4-165, 165-HP Owner: Susan K. Metcalf, Anchorage, AK
Location: PAWD, Seward, AK Photographer: Ken Stoltzfus
Date: July 2004 Present Registration: Same Present Owner (FAA info): Same
Notes: 12/4/04 - This looks like a very stock 108-2 (small tail) except for the larger tires and absence of gear fairings. It is still fabric covered, has stock wings, and the Franklin engine.

Being a 1947 aircraft it was certainly built by Stinson, but apparently someone wanted to call it a "Universal Stinson" because the type certificate is presently held by Univair.

Notes: Alaska is taildragger country. That's a modified Piper PA-22-108 Colt under the Stinson's left tip, and then a red Aeronca Champ, and a T-Craft just to the right of '57C's nose. There were taildraggers everywhere you looked.
